Pakistani fabrics for bothcasual and formal occasions are usually rich with hand embroidery.

I love Pakistani trucks, and enjoy photographing these “jingle trucks” — so called because of the sound they make due to the old coins and chains that hang from their bumpers. Of course, I have a weakness for “art on wheels” because I grew up in the Philippines, which has colorful jeepneys although they’re not as lavishly decorated as the trucks, buses, and mini-vans seen in the streets and highways of Pakistan.

It’s an exciting, dangerous event held in villages all over Pakistan. These bulls not only run fast but many veer off course, so the crowd of spectators also run the risk of getting trampled.

This is Mocha, one of our “coffee cats,” who died last year. I miss him so much, especially because he’s a great model and I took so many photos of him.

Every time I see babies I just couldn’t help reciting “This Little Pig” while playing with their toes. So it comes as no surprise that I would just go crazy over my own baby’s cute little feet.

They signify spring in Islamabad, and some streets look lovely when it’s lined with jacaranda trees in full purple and lavender bloom.
